It is very important to plan for retirement and make sure social security will cover our needs when we retire. I am very aware how important it is to save for retirement. When you start your career you want to make sure you ask if your employer offers a retirement plan. There are many companies that do not offer retirement plans, if your employer does not offer a retirement plan you should take on the very important responsibility and research the many options that are available to you as an individual. It is very important to start planning as soon you can so when you retire you are not relaying on social security as your only source of income. There are a lot of Americans that relay on only Social Security to survive after retirement. It is upsetting to see the elderly struggle with finding part time jobs to live because they had no retirement plan in line for them. When it is time for retirement the last thing one should do is look for a job.

Making sure social security will be available for me when I retire. We all hope that Social Security will be available for us when we retire but are prepared for the worst. Everyone agrees that social security trust funds are running out of money, but there is a lot of disagreement over how quickly the money will run dry. I think social security runs out of money; the government will still have enough revenue from social security to pay promised benefits. Social security went through an extended time of troubles from the mid 1970`s to the mid 1980`s, but no prospects of anymore problems have been glimpsed until now.
