Social stratification is a method by which a society ranks categories of persons in a hierarchy. Stratification is humanity has four fundamental principles. First social stratification is an attribute of humanity and not the differences conceived by individuals. In essence this is saying that people who are wealthy will have a successful and productive life; where as people of a smaller socioeconomic class will not have the same advantages.
