Thesis Statement

Does an epic have characteristics like an epic hero? The answer is yes. An epic has some characteristics. The characteristics of an epic are that an epic must have an epic hero, which moves on a journey. An epic should be a long narrative verse that tells a story. An epic should have huge settings. It should start in the middle. Epics have women who are dream interpreters, who assist the will of men and/or are nurturers. Lastly, an epic should have maintained elevation. Three epics that have been read and will be discussed are Gilgamesh, Sundiata and last but not smallest Sundiata.

Introduction

Sundiata was in writing in Africa. Gilgamesh was the oldest one written. Other works encompass the Iliad and the Odyssey, which were in writing by the blind prophet Homer. Whead covering do all these works of publications have in common with each other? The similarity that all these works of publications have is that they are all epics. What does this mean? What is an epic? The delineation of an epic is that an epic is a long, narrative verse with a hero that proceeds on a quest. What is the hero? Well, the characteristics of a champion is that they all go on a quest, which is a long, arduous journey, he usually descends to the underworld, and numerous other traits are owned that determine if a champion is an epic champion.

Sundiata

The term Polygamy (literally much wedding ceremony in Greek) is used in associated ways in communal anthropology and sociobiology. In social anthropology, polygamy is the practice of wedding ceremony to more than one spouse simultaneously (as are against to monogamy where each individual has only one spouse at a time). Like monogamy, the term is often utilised in a de facto sense, applying regardless of if the relationships are recognized by the state. In sociobiology, polygamy is used in a broad sense to signify any form of multiple mating. In a narrower sense, utilised by zoologists, polygamy encompasses a two bond, possibly temporary. In this sense, multiple mating is characterised as promiscuous.
