Challenges of Running a Tim Hortons in Kandahar

In Kandahar, Tim Hortons faces various challenges while operating; these challenges include location, operational issues that are affecting the slogan of Tim Hortons that is “Always Fresh” due to which the company may face loss. In addition to this, the cultural barriers are also affecting the overall environment of the company which is the key reason of lack of communication at Tim Hortons. Moreover, the company has also been lagged behind the expected return of the investors which may cause lack of investor's attention towards the company.

Tim Hortons' Organization Structure and Its Mission

The organization structure of Tim Hortons is considered as non-standard restaurant although it is not a franchise. The organizational structure of Tim Hortons include dtorefront employee, production employee, designated trainer, team supervisor, assistant manager and store manager. In addition to this, in context of mission of organization, the company provide pension plan, employee assistance plan, wellness program, the performance management that include learning and development program, skills development in leadership, tuition reimbursement and also the events that are being sponsored by the company that include annual staff celebrations, golf tournaments etc which are carried out in order to fulfil the mission.

International Growth Strategy of Tim Hortons

In context of international growth strategy of Tim Hortons, the restaurant intends to expand as there were 336 restaurants were present in ten states; however, the issue that the Tim Hortons is facing is that there is lack of interest showed by the investors and the restaurant was also facing the cultural barriers which is serving as the hurdle in expansion of the business.
