The social service is an activity which, through various techniques and methods, enables individuals, groups and communities to achieve a satisfactory level of functioning with their surroundings and in different walks of life. The social work is an e-business that has been recognized university in Social Work. This person may intervene with individuals, couples, families, small groups and communities. They work directly with people who can not only solve problems of personal, family or others but can also help the community to mobilize in seeking solutions to community needs. They can also work with the homeless, the unemployed, people with problems related to drugs, alcohol, people who suffer from physical or mental disability, family difficulties, children, elderly. They can even offer counselling, therapy and referral to other supportive social services.

Discussion

From its earliest origins, the field of social work has developed through the conduct and use of empirical research. Early pioneers of social work insisted that the practice should be grounded on systematic, technical analysis. Those then in charge of training people for these new professions and the first scientists working on the question of social welfare agreed that social work is situated in an area where science and practice converge and interact. Research in social work almost invariably claims to be of use for the proper context or to have at least some implications for the conduct of practice and professional intervention. This has prompted some to refer to social work as a 'science of action' or a 'professionalized reflection science' (Dominelli, 2002, 05).
