Abstract

In this study we try to explore the concept of “textile industry” in the modern society. The main focus of the research is on “technical textile in the modern society” and its relation with “importance of the technical textile and future role of the technical textile”. The research also analyzes many aspects of “technical textile” and tries to gauge its effect on “modern society and the behavior of the consumers”. Finally the research describes various factors which are responsible for “enhancing the role of technical textile” and tries to describe the overall effect of “technical textile on the modern society and the life changing aspect of the technical textile” in “modern society”.

Background of the study

The study shows that a technical textile is currently growing globally at the rate of 2.4% each year. By 2005, the study projects, consumption of technical textile in America, one of the world's largest consumers of these fabrics, will reach about 4-billion tons, worth about $19.4-billion. This shows that technical textile is growing globally and has an impact on the consumer and it has the potential to play the role of changing life.

The aim of this study is to evaluate the factors surrounding the topic, 'Technical Textiles' and explore the effects they have on the population in today's society worldwide. And also defines how the society is responding towards the changing coming in the technical textile. Furthermore, assess the developing ideas and suggestions been generated for Technical Textiles in the future, exemplifying incessant research been linked with the development of technical textile.

Objectives

Determines the affects of Technical Textiles have on the population in today's society. Research will include an in-depth investigation into the wide range of products produced already.

To establish the affect of technical textiles in modern society as a need or a want, this will include qualitative research.
