Ten Truths about Trade

Introduction

The aim of this paper is to analyze the article ten truths about trade. In this article, ten truths related to business field are mentioned. I have chosen three of them and evaluated their importance and significance in the business market. I will thoroughly examine those separately. I have chosen, de industrialization is a myth, off shoring is not a threat to high technology employment, and the digital revolution has been eliminating white-collar jobs for many years.De industrialization is a Myth

There are many conflicting theories regarding de industrialization. There are two main opinions in this connection. One theory is the basis on the view that de industrialization is a myth, and other view is that the de industrialization is a reality. In this regard, I would first clear the period of de industrialization and some facts about the topic.

De-industrialization has caused a decline in the manufacturing concerns and migration of jobs in many nations. Corporations shifted their production facilities to areas where wages were low. The advancement in technology and the rise in inventions which required less human effort also decreased manufacturing jobs (Doyle, 2002).

One of the finest examples is that of Detroit and the auto-industry. Such areas were considered of having high standards of living and high priority production areas, but now they are as high poverty areas with growing unemployment and racism. It is due to de industrialization that the population of the major manufacturing cities located in the northeast has decreased significantly.

De industrialization in the U.S has exposed the labor to a job insecurity, unemployment, and poor physical, mental and social working conditions. The present state of the U.S' workers will influence the actions of the labor movement, which will probably result in protests against the sufferings caused by the workplace, efforts to enforce labor laws that will provide job security and competitive wage structures and international labor unions.

Off shoring is not a Threat to High-Tech Employment

Off shoring refers to subcontracting a production process or the provision of a service to a third-party company. As a result of off shoring, firms transfer entire business functions to external service providers. Geographers have contributed to the study of off shoring by investigating the spatial aspects of off shoring, the social and cultural effects of trade flows generated by off shoring, and the role of off shoring in the globalization of the economy.
