Introduction

Camp Wahanowin is a camp set up in Ontario. Bruce Nashman is theowner of the camp. The camp has been a success in attracting lots of campers in the past, yet the owner of the camp now wants to plan for the future, in order to increase the number of campers. In 1955, Harold Nashman and his mother, Bubby Nash, established Camp Wahanowin in Orillia, Ontario, as a residential summer camp for children. Wahanowin began as a “junior camp,” catering to campers between six and 11 years of age. While committed to never losing sight of its roots, Wahanowin evolved into a camp offering programs for campers up to 16 years of age. Over the course of the past 50 years, the camp had grown in nearly every aspect (Dunn, Heywood, 2007, pp. 3). Wahanowin had expanded in numbers of campers, physical size of property and variety of facilities. It had become an accredited member of the Ontario Camping Association (OCA)1 and was recognized as one of the premium camping facilities in Ontario. Therefore, this paper would focus on developing a marketing management plan for Camp Wahanowin, in order to help it attracting more campers coming to the camp. The term marketing and distribution management means market-driven and market-oriented corporate governance and refers to one of the corporate sector, whose role (function) it is to sell goods and services, on the other hand, the term describes a concept of holistic, market-oriented management to meet the needs and expectations of customers and other stakeholders ( stakeholders ). Thus, understanding the marketing technique developed by an operative influence ( marketing mix instruments) to a management concept, the other functions such as procurement, production, administration and staff to include.
