Justice As It Relates To Law Enforcement

Law enforcement generally relates to police departments of a state that are approved to put into effect the police power in their defined legal or area capacity(Rigoli 2006).

Justice is the set of norms and rules that can regulate conduct between individuals, enabling, supporting, prohibiting and restricting certain behaviors or actions on human actions or institutions. University of Phoenix helped us a lot in getting the command over a practical and fundamental knowledge of crime, criminal laws and goals of American criminal justice system. We understood justice and it's laws. It equips graduates who choose to pursue master's, doctoral, and law degrees with a solid foundation in criminal justice.

Without justice this world is hell. Justice is required everywhere, at homes, institutes as well as at workplaces. We can make our world peaceful through promoting justice in this world. We can promote justice first of all by following ourselves strictly. Secondly, by spreading the service learning-based knowledge at workplace, conducting the seminars of promoting justice and consulting with the personnel on how they can have an impact at their workplace policies and train their colleagues in knowledge and skills for preventing barriers to employers learning.

Current practices of the Law Enforcement

Law enforcement agencies and personnel are directed at maintaining social control, reducing and stopping the crime, or arresting those who breach laws and fining them, as and when needed.

The practices by the law enforcement agencies reflect the justice because the result of these practices by law enforcement agencies is the peaceful environment. The power that is given to the agencies helps them to maintain social control and reducing crimes in the environment. But all of the people may not be agreeing with this statement because sometimes the power is also utilized in a negative way as black sheep's can be found in any department. But this is very rare in the world; the main and major impact of the power of law enforcement agencies is the promotion of peace and justice.

Law Enforcement after 9/11

The definition by the State Department has more importance in relation to law enforcement after the September 11, 2001 attacks, as terrorism has extended the law enforcement role to many areas including premeditated crimes and those stemming from political motives sourced from any of the sub-national groups or clandestine and anti-state agents. Presently, the U.S. police force is granted a greater degree of surveillance powers in reaction to possible threats of crimes of all nature, including drugs and terrorism.

The changes that have been provoked after the 9/11 are precautionary. These changes have both positive and negative impacts but these changes are beneficial as well as necessary for the country. Changes may be little bit negative because laws have become strict but they are very positive and necessary for the country and its people security.
