CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION

Universities are an integral part of most communities. Many perceive that the university is the cohesive bond that holds a community together. In larger areas, universities affect housing costs and whether an area is considered a desirable place to live. University leaders make an impact in communities by having an effect in the schools. This paper looks into the effectiveness of the university counseling in Thailand.

Problem Statement

The problem discussed in the paper pertains to the effectiveness of of counselor in university counseling centre in Thailand.

Research Objectives

The objectives of this research are concerned with the effectiveness of the counseling services provided in the universities in Thailand.

CHAPTER 2: LITERATURE REVIEW

This chapter studies the information on the counseling of educators in universities. It takes into account the education counseling in the universities of Thailand.

Counseling

Counselor educators historically have considered counselor self-awareness to be an important aspect of counseling effectiveness. We define counseling as direct work with people to address the social and psychological problems of the client, where the primary means of influence is built in a certain way conversation. The term "counseling" is used to describe a set of practices as diverse as those who are to guide, assist, advise, support and treatment. Counseling is a form of situations psychology: the situation is the cause of the symptom and not the reverse. In this sense, counseling, a form of psychological and social support, means a situation in which two people enter into a relationship, one that explicitly call for the other by expressing a demand for treatment, resolve, assume or problems that affect them (Carvalho, 1999, 132).
