Abstract

The research focuses on identifying several factors that are of great importance when considering project and supply chain management in construction projects. The engineers are seeking solutions to problems, and economic viability of each potential solution is generally considered one of the technical aspects. The temporary nature of projects is in contrast to bed (or functions), which are recurrent, persistent capacity or semi-permanent functional to produce products or services. In practice, the cable between the two systems is often very different, and requires the development of individual skills and strategies. Selecting suitable candidates and developing project managers has immediate implications for managing projects successfully. However, we do not need to adhere to such extreme postulate (i.e. everyone is always opportunistic), not to the opposite, to affirm that, although governance structures can be used for other purposes, safeguards will always be required because in their absence contractual hazards will be present (Williamson, 1996). Delaying or changing one part of the project may seem normal for a general or non engineer manager, but the inverse or positive effects are better known to an engineer who will be able to make better informed decision. In conclusion it is apparent that an engineer is a better person to chose when managing a complex and technical construction project because of their better understanding of the topic and issues.
