Introduction

Organizations are focusing on information technology to effectively operate not only in domestic market but also international market (Peter, 2000). Today the International Business, have become very important for a country's growth and international openness of the company, this has led companies in the world to achieve growth, penetration in international markets and trade of its products, among others. Business environment of today presents us with range of complex circumstances. Every other business is trying to dominate international business. Global competition, rapid and constant change have forced business organizations to reinvent themselves and their corporate culture. Now more and more organizations are competing internationally which is increasing pressure and global competition.

In order to face increased pressure and global business from multinational competitors, business organizations have to become more innovative, flexible, and responsive to the marketplace which can be done with IT implementation. There is certain cost required to do business in international market. For everyone to bear cost of doing business internationally is not easy but with advanced information technology like internet, it has become easy to do business internationally (Holroyde, 2007). The rules of the game are changing at breakneck speed, Internet and information technology and communication have opened up new business opportunities by breaking the physical barriers of trade. It is behind the question of whether a company should use the Internet or not to promote and market their products (MacKenzie, 2006). The question that organizations have raised now is how to use it and how to be competitive internationally. The size and financial capacity of the company is not as important when it comes to the Internet. In this paper I am going to discuss in detail the important of internet in doing business internationally as internet is called as Global IT platform for doing business internationally. In this paper I am going to focus on the relationship between internet and international business.

Aim/Purpose

No one doubts that the Internet is becoming one of the main sources of information. The aim of this paper is to let know the readers about the importance of internet usage in doing international business since there are still many organizations and enterprises which are not effectively using internet for business development. This paper will provide insight information also to those organizations which despite knowing the importance of internet are not using this effective technology. This paper will provide readers with an understanding to effectively use limited resources to achieve high growth. The findings of the study will have practical importance to business organization whose purpose is to help increase competitiveness and productivity of their organizations.

Problem Statement

Internet has become key component in international commerce and business and internet as IT platform expands markets, improve profit margins without massive cost, and reduce distribution cost.
