Introduction

Lighthouse Park brands the issue where Burrard Inlet encounters Howe Sound. The rock you glimpse here is vintage - mainly granitic and varying in age from 96 to 187 million years. Most is blanketed by plantation, encompassing gigantic Douglas fir, western hemlock and western red cedar trees. You'll furthermore glimpse a kind of mosses, lichens, wildflowers, fungi, animals, bugs, birds and ocean life.

 

Discussion

Lighthouse Park is a fragile remnant of a vintage development forest. Sadly, the past 30 years of human influence has degraded the area. It's critical for tourists to the reserve to stay on designated trails to bypass ...
