The paper highlights the Human Resource Strategy of one of the largest shipping company the Maersk Shipping Line. However it has been observed that from the past decades the study of management practices in the domestic shipping companies have shown that the lack of complete techniques of strategic management in companies of this class, a clear strategic vision in their leadership, a well-developed strategy is already leading to economic losses, and in the future can only worsen the condition of the companies. The culture of Maersk group has always been associated with life in the seas and with respect to nature, some precepts that fit with their desire constant attention. Maersk Line In this concept takes on a broader and deeper meaning. Maersk Group have courses focused on the issue in which they choose to work or an outstanding administrator in a particular field and move the course of other employees who want to learn. In Maersk Company, for CEO succession planning, HR plays a critical role at two levels - primarily in choosing the right candidate and secondly, in providing the newly appointed CEO with organizational support.
