The New Deal was a political and social project that was the platform of the presidential campaign of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Although Roosevelt was very vague about what it was and the concrete measures taken during the execution of the presidency, the New Deal was the shining hope for many Americans who have lost their jobs or living in poverty.
