The paper analyses the development of information systems and information on human lives, the dependence over business and life on the new technologies, and the developmental issues, problems with the insecurity in the relevant technologies and systems. The character of the information security might seems to be very important, hence the companies and organizations inevitably seeking the implementation of the security. The objective of this research is to recognize the importance of major success factors while implementing information security management system in every aspect and walk of field. It is a fact that the information security includes the techniques like the management measures and technical measures which protects the information assets that are being used against the unauthorized damage, manipulation, loss, abuse, acquisition and change of information. The scope for the information security involves the protection of all the print and verbal information which are automatically recorded, controlling the facilities, recorded media, and storage, peripheral devices, controlling the facilities, using and transmitting of information. Moreover, the information security is actually an interdisciplinary concept that includes the group of related topics in information life-cycle. The importance of information security is seen when majority of the companies shows their misusing of information assets or even the elimination of the assets (Anthony, 2008).

It is a fact that the "Information Technology" carried with it the importance and interest in the spread and exchange between the five continents, and has therefore become a pillar of this age in which we live and reality forces us to go along with it. the UN National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has defined the information security controls as the controls applied to the information systems for protecting the confidentiality, availability and integrity of systems and the information they process, store and exchange. It has been widely agreed that the information security is not a technical problem. Accordingly, the NIST classifies security controls into three categories. According to Anderson &Rachamadugu, (2006),as opposed for technical controls like as user authentication and the firewalls that are primarily executed by the information systems, operational controls like the incidents response processes are not only implemented but also been executes by the people. The management controls focus on the management of information security and risk. Majority of the organization recognizes the significance of the information security and have the suite for controlling in place.
