THE SPECIFIC CULTURE OF THE HUAORANI



Introduction

The Huaorani or Waorani (also called Sabela, auishiri, auca and Huaorani) is a tribe of Native American living in northwest of Amazon, which is located in eastern Ecuador. They are divided among groups Such as, Quihuaro, quenahueno, Tihueno, toñampare , damuintaro, Zapino huamuno, Dayuno. Every country follows a distinct culture, in the last 30 years, these tribes have changed their life style from being hunters to living permanently in jungles (Kaomea, 2005).The word Waodani is the term derived from "humans" or "men" in Wao Tiriro. (Archibald, 1995)

Indigenous cultures are rich and varied, but are not common throughout the world, and society. Quechua (pronounced Kéechua) are the carriers of the Andes. The Amazonian tribes differ from each other, but come together during the common cause. Quechua dialects include Northern Quechua, the imperial language of the Incas. (Arviso, 2001)
