Introduction

It is important that the head of an organization recognize that high stress levels in the work environment can also affect employees both physiologically and psychologically, as well in terms of behavior. Good. Physiologically, stress has the ability to weaken the immune system. Stress has been found to play a role in 50-70% of physical illnesses. In terms of the psychological well being of a worker, high levels of stress can lead to job dissatisfaction, mood swings, fatigue and depression. The most severe psychological effect of constant stress is burnout. This is characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and reduced personal accomplishment.

It is easy for management to identify workers who are suffering from burnout, and critical that they amend the problem immediately, if they want to maintain productive workers. Although it is easy to identify burnout, it is much more difficult, but equally important to identify and assist workers in coping with increased stress levels so that they do not 'burnout'.

For managers, Stress is a basic constituent of being alive. Although Managers commonly aid it with an obnoxious happening, any position, which trial the workforce, or engages risk, or necessitates change and change in inhabits, is stressful. This may be a positive thing as impressive as a new connection, or going to a new dwelling, or as intimidating as poor degrees, interpersonal adversities or not having sufficient time to the complete course requirements. (Bower and Segerstrom, 2004)

Stress Management

Managers must understand that whatever the source of tension, human mind understands the position as intimidating and answers by mobilizing workforce protection against scheme, producing in personal and psychological symptoms, which Managers can all identify from subordinates' past experiences. Furthermore, workforce's responses may not only be unhelpful in the present instant, but over an extended time span of time badly managed tension can lead to grave wellbeing risks. We may furthermore integrate contending means, which in the longer run, become a difficulty in themselves, for example, unsuitable use of alcoholic beverage, pharmaceuticals, nourishment and sleep (Bower and Segerstrom, 2004).

Personal Stressors

Personal stressors could be contending up with individual difficulties like not holding good wellbeing, aging, commuting difficulties etc.

Life Stressors

An individual has to sustain a balance between work and personal life. When the private life is hectic, then, it will undoubtedly impact upon his/her work and vice versa. For e.g. an unsuccessful wedding ceremony, death of spouse, misfortune, ...
