The Tell Tale Heart

Introduction

The story Tell Tale Heart reflects the story of a youthful person who believes himself as secure after getting involved in the perfect crime. Moreover, the person is also under attack by the sounds of his victim's heartbeat which make difficult for him to live freely, in addition, these sounds are go along with the tales of those who buried alive. The thing with most Edgar Allan Poe stories is that when the reader sits down to read them he has to be prepared to think through a ton symbolism. That is what makes them awesome, but at the same time he has to be in the right mood for it. The key idea of this study is that “is paranoia is a good trait to develop”. The Tell-Tale Heart, however, is pretty straight forward. It focuses far more on the mind of the killer than anything else. 

Discussion

The purpose of this study is to know that whether fear is good for an individual or not. For this, person has to make him structured in a way that he can control his thoughts because these thoughts can misguide the person. According to the story teller, he don't care what anyone says if you kill someone, dismember them, and then hear their dead heart beating under the floor boards, you've lost your marbles. The narrator thought it was a great choice that Poe left out a couple of details. For example: The reader doesn't know for sure if the narrator is male or female. Although from the tale it seems that the narrator is most likely a male, but still the fact that you don't know for sure is intriguing.
