I just initiate a chart that illustrate how the price of college tuition has spectacularly outpaced inflation, as well as health care costs. I think it provides a great illustration of what happens when market forces (such as the ability to discharge loans in bankruptcy) are completely removed from higher education and when student loans are passed out like candy on Halloween. The chart seems to show a doubling of college tuition costs since 2000 whereas health care costs have only increased by about 53%.

College education has gotten quite a bit of talk within the last few years. The talking helps to show why the cost of education has been on a steady rise. For numerous years college education was not that significant, but now with not so many job openings and a lot of people wanting jobs it needs more education in order to get the jobs. The higher someone goes in college the more likely they are to get the job they want. Almost every individual acquiesces that college education is on a stable cost rise, but there are many reasons as to why it is rising. Some people have very strong issues as to why it is rising and some issues are pretty weakTo start to realize this topic, we have to first analyze the annals and the context from which it arose. The rise of tuition is mostly due in part because the schools require more money to improvement and stay on peak of the expertise era. There are furthermore many other reasons why tuition is on the rise though. One writer states that, “As almost every state reels from the effects of recession and tax cuts, legislatures slash funding for higher education, the largest discretionary item in most state budgets” (Hanna Ayalon, 2008).

One way they say is called the 529 plan which according to USA today is, "These state-sponsored plans offer a tax-advantaged way to invest for college tuition and other expenses. For a Public Two-Year University in 1971-72 it cost about 1,000, and in 2000-01 it costs 1,705. College tuition has altered substantially from back in the seventies. The tuition cost is so high that they should have plenty of money to pay for all of the technological advances that they want and still have money left over. One researcher said, " Average tuition at public flagship universities expanded 9 this year. For a Private Four-Year University in 1971-72 it cost about 7,000, and in 2000-01 it costs 16,332. All of these plans they list could be very helpful to anyone who needs help profiting their college education". Another way is prepaid tuition plans, "These plans let you purchase contracts that lock in tuition rates at state colleges and universities. This same writer devotes another reason, "Universities, private and public, have to raise tuition to cover the costs of new construction, renovations and technological advancements and to keep trained ...
