Introduction

The international relations is of great importance in today's world when the whole world has shrank into a global village and the differences between the countries are costing them in terms of reduced levels of growth and low levels of productivity. The bilateral relationship has proved to be the most important factor in the past few years. Several books have been written on the strategic and bi lateral relationship among major parts of the world, however not all of them presents the current situation appropriately. Analysis on the international relations is not directed in the way as they should be to mark the ways of the countries destiny in the future. The European countries have occupied central position in determining the shape of the world in terms of the religion and the international relations it maintains with the rest of the world. Similarly, the United States is another major part of the world that has been very effective in shaping up the destiny of the world by maintaining strategic relationship with the European as well as the Asian countries of the world. Several books have been written on the issues of these major parts of the world that include their mutual relationship and its effect on the rest of the world. The present term paper will be analyzing the main content relating to the Turkey, Europe and the Political Islam that has been implemented by the Turkish government and therefore has reviewed three books for the discussion. The books that have been analysed in the present term paper are “Turkey, Islamists and Democracy: Transition and Globalisation in a Muslim State” by Yildiz Atasoy, Jenkins, Gareth. “Political Islam in Turkey: Running West, Heading east?” and Winning Turkey: How America, Europe, and Turkey Can Revive a Fading Partnership by Gordon, Philip and Taspinar Omer.

Discussion

The paper has been chosen to provide the critical review of the books published in past few years ago that had impacted different countries and made them think about future perspectives of their regional security and identity. The books chosen for the critical discussion are very important with respect to their implications on the Muslim world and their respective international relation with other countries. Different theories have been given with respect to the international relations that mainly address the relationship among different countries with respect to their societal and political needs.

Social Constructivist Theory in International Relations

The theory of the constructivism has been applied to various terms that take into account the culturalism as well as the constructivism. There is really less difference in the two however, the constructivism is the term that is frequently used for the subject of international relations.
