Introduction

Teaching is a process by which they communicate or transmit special or general knowledge about a subject. This concept is more restricted than that of education, since it aims at the formation of the human person, while, there are some limitations in teaching to transmit, by various means, certain knowledge. In this sense education includes the teaching itself (Angelo, 1993).

The concept of teaching, learning, and assessment is part of the structure of education; therefore, the education includes the learning system. It is the act of instruction and the time delays such action. In addition, it is the process in which a person gets training to provide a solution to situations, such a mechanism, which ranges from data acquisition to the most complex to collecting and organizing information (Bain 1993). In this report, I will discuss the things that I have learnt over the period of this course and how this course has helped me in developing different concepts regarding the process of teaching, learning, and assessment in an educational setting (Angelo, 1993).

Discussion

Teaching methods rely on theories of the learning process, and experts have studied one of the great tasks of modern education in an experimental manner, the effectiveness of such methods, while trying their theoretical formulation. During the course, I had learnt a number of different things and developed concepts about the process of teaching, learning, and assessment through completing different assignments throughout the module (Arons, 1985).

In the start of course, I studied about the concept of a professional teacher. I learnt that a professional teacher chooses his profession primarily in regards to professional activity, and secondly because of his interest in the field of teaching. For me, as a professional teacher I must have a multiple number of selection procedures and professional ad vocational training behind me. I have to be positive as a professional teacher and will have to think in a positive and enthusiastic manner about my students and their capabilities. A professional teacher has the ability to identify positive things in any scenario, and he/she has the ability to take steps to come out of difficult situations while teaching students (Angelo 1993).

I have learnt that I have to be communicative as a professional teacher. I have to share my knowledge and experience with others in a manner that will help in starting a process of interactive communication and two-way learning. I have to communicate my thoughts, ideas, and feelings on a broad variety of issues in the classroom and should be able to listen to students in a compassionate manner, and provide them an assurance that conversations between us will be completely confidential. Furthermore, I need to have a high amount of knowledge regarding my field of study, and I need to keep improving myself to make sure that I keep myself abreast of the changes in my field. This thing will have a remarkable effect on the process of teaching and learning.
