Introduction

Remote environment comprises forces that are beyond the control of any firm. They include factors such as industrial, technological, social, economic, and political. No matter in which situation a firm operates, it has to face these environments. They present constraints, threats, and opportunities for firms thus they have several implications.

Each environmental force affects parts of the organization in various ways. Certain factors affect only certain departments but there are some factors that affect the organization as a whole.
