Introduction

Human being, from the long chain of history, even from its origins, have been violent and seeking wars. They have been bloodthirsty, murderous, and history dates back to the tales of numerous brutal, bloody carnage one after another. War is an organized, armed and often everlasting conflicts existing between states and nations. History has witnessed countless wars and ruthless killings, defeats that in its very core have never resulted in anything optimistic or for the welfare of populaces. Leaving these organized wars and conflicts aside, there are innumerable wars taking place at micro level in the world. Violence has become a usual element of our lives and is impacting adversely resulting in moral hazards and aggressive behaviors. The paper holistically discusses the major types of violence taking place and the long-term marks of such wars and violence on generation and human lives.

Discussion

American humanity is beginning to go in another period where violent crimes are declining according to the newest U.S. Department of Justice statistics. It is apparent that social and/or financial situation can cause these periods of semi-peace.

Violence is one of the major reasons for killings in the world. This menace has perpetrated the domestic as well as social lives of the people. The homicide rate in the country is extremely high. Many of the metropolitan cities in the U.S are known for high rates of violence. The top five "lethal" cities in the United States are Detroit, Washington, D.C., Dallas, Jacksonville, and Baltimore (Hines, 2005).

The number of violent crimes has very much been dependent on the condition of society. Good times in the country usually translate to low crime rates and vice-versa. America is now going through a very prosperous and successful time and therefore crime rates are the lowest they have been for years. Despite this success in recent years, many predict that we are on the path to a huge crime wave. A boost in teenage brutal misdeed and hate-motivated killings is causing Americans to look to the future with little hope and very cautious vigilance (Farrington, 1998).

The whole society tends to emerge from their bondage, and the explosion of crime, corruption, drugs, and violence are an inevitable prelude. It is in the city which manifest concentration of crimes, where there is the problem of drug addiction, where the highest incidents of rape, murder and other crimes. This ferment of violence brings out the negativity, and neither the police nor the military exercises will be able to control this explosion of crime (Farrington, 1998). According to Maitreya, crime and violence, like any other problem, require a proper analysis of the causes. Violence cannot be understood as merely an interpersonal exchange or set of behaviors.
