Whole grain foods may help lower blood pressure

Introduction

Grains arrive in numerous forms and dimensions, from large kernels of popcorn to little quinoa seeds. Also called cereals, grains are the broadly diverse kernels of grasses, which are cultivated for food. All kinds of grains are good causes of convoluted carbohydrates, diverse vitamins and minerals and are routinely reduced in fat. But grains that haven't been perfected — called entire grains — are even better for you. Whole grains are better causes of fiber and other significant nutrients, for example selenium, potassium and magnesium. Grains are the kernels of plants. When entire, they encompass the bran, germ and endosperm — all of which comprise precious nutrients.
