The need for professional working practices has vastly been realized, and its importance in the upbringing and development of the child can no longer be denied. The objective is to provide an integrated, vast and holistic response towards the needs of the child. Services aim to adopt a child-centred approach. Inter-agency cooperation has gained increasing prominence in the development and delivery of activation strategies. While the partnership in U.K with all the bodies providing services gains momentum, it has been seen that the system on the whole is successful in delivering the essential services. Many local authorities have come to work with local partners in accepting the challenge of governance in inter-agency frameworks.
