A Biblical Theology of Mission

Introduction

The Bible contains true stories about life and is regarded as a guide for people. Throughout the Bible, there are examples of people whom god called for a mission. Every mission has a goal of saving the people from sin and redeems the world. In the Old Testament, the Israelites were the main subject of the mission. These missions ended in the New Testament beginning with the mission of Jesus. This mission is still going on in the shape of the church. It involves the efforts being made by the church in order to bring people into the fold of Christianity.

Joseph was the most loving son of his father and was also loved by God; therefore, his brothers got jealous and tried to separate him from their father. They did this by throwing him in a pit and then sold him to an Ishmaelite who later sold him as a slave to a Egyptian.

While in Egypt, he was made in charge of the house of the chief guard of Pharaoh. It was there that his troubles began again when the wife of the owner of the house made a false claim that Joseph tried to rape her. He was then placed in charge of a prison where he asked one of the prisoners to remember him on how he was treated. During this time, the Pharaoh had several dreams that no one could interpret. However, when the prisoner Joseph had asked to remember him stood in front of Pharaoh, he told Pharaoh about Joseph and his skills of interpreting ...
