In John Updike's short article A & P, a juvenile man entitled Sammy takes observer to what he sees as an injustice occurrence to a assembly of bikini-clad teenage young women in the food shop in which he works. He takes a bold step and concludes he would rather not work for a supervisor that determined to humiliate the juvenile young women in front of every individual rather than of speaking to them personally, so he quits.
