United Kingdom (U.K) is the capital of Europe in terms of business, finance and education. Owing to the global recession of 2009, UK is also facing hot waters (Sutton 2013, pp. 3599-3616). Currently, its economy is showing very poor performance and all the economic indicators have negative trend. In this grim scenario, every year thousands of students are getting degrees from colleges and universities. In addition, a large number of students, educated, skilled and experienced people make UK as the destination. The interesting fact is that in some areas, there is still of human resource particularly technical areas e.g. telecommunications and energy. According to the official figures, the unemployment rate in UK is 7.8% (2013). Comparatively, this rate is low as compared to previous years. It is because of the happy performance given by the public sector.

The demand of accounting has always remained high in public departments and private organizations. In public departments, there is no need of specific accounting degrees for the entry level. However, in the private organizations like banks, insurance, hospitals, service providing entities and other firms require specialized degrees in the Accounting/Finance. To meet the growing demands of market, many universities had started programs which are grooming the accounting skills of students e.g. B.A, B.Sc with major in Accountancy, MBA (Finance), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) etc. Market for the accountancy career is very much competitive; it is because of the surplus in the market.
