The Cold War

Introduction

Cold War is referred as the relationship amidst United States of America and the Soviet during from the year of 1945 to 1980. Apparently, there was no fight that occurred but the consequences of the cold war were severe. It initiated after the World War II and the purpose of the war was to have an upper hand on the affairs that take place at an international level. The main concern for the domination was the major growth in the weapons of mass destruction. I would categorize the post-war era of 1945-1961 as change, as it changed and affected the world politics and economic conditions, and enhanced the role of China.

Discussion

The fear of American attack was very high since Russia was in need for a secured border on the western side. Another reason behind the insecurity was USA's refusal of sharing nuclear secrets. America's concern was Russia's unhealthy concern of spreading the concept of communism at a worldwide level. In the year of 1945, “A” bomb was dropped in the city of Hiroshima which boosted America's position in the weaponry race. In the year of 1947, Marshall's aid was sent to the west of Europe along with the eastern side of Europe but Stalin refused it. In the year of 1948, The Berlin Blockade initiated and went on till the year of 1949. In the year of 1949, NATO as an entity was established and at the same time Russia exploded its first bomb. The same year China also became a communist.

In the year of 1950, War in Korea was initiated. In the year of 1952, America exploded its very first hydrogen bomb. In the year of 1953, War in Korea ended and at the same time Russia also exploded its very first hydrogen bomb. The same year Stalin also passed away. In the year of 1955, Warsaw Pact was introduced and its purpose was to have a peaceful coexistence. In the year of 1956, Russia faced a revolt from Hungary and it was termed as the Suez Crisis. In the year of 1957, launching of Sputnik took place. In the year of 1959, Cuba was declared as a Communist State. In the year of 1961, Vietnam received military aid via America and at the same time Berlin wall was also made.

In order to understand the vulnerability of a particular country's political portfolio, crises are one key factor that is being analyzed. Upon the development of crisis it is the government's job is to instantly resolve it. For effective resolution, it is mandatory to understand the nature of the crisis and develop strategies to develop new system over the collapsed system.

Policy of Containment

Policy of "containment" has suffered a complete defeat.
