Introduction

The Analects or Lunyu in Chinese, is the most important and sacred scripture in the Confucianism. The Analects is a compilation of Confucius' sayings that were, according to the historians, compiled by disciples of one of the great philosophers of ancient China. The form and content in which the Analects captures the spirit of Confucius closely matches the way Platonic dialogues embody Socratic pedagogy.
