Animal abuse and criminology: introduction to a special issue

This article essentially describes a recently conducted symposium on the subject of animal abuse. The symposium was held in Cardiff, Wales, and was attended by several scholar activists and criminologists. During the symposium, several participants recalled the moments in their lives that drove them to campaign in favor of animal rights.
