Introduction

Anorexia Nervosa is a crippling eating disorder that can affect anybody at any age.The person suffering from this may feel like that there is no hope for them and that they are the only person with this problem. However, they are not alone and there is hope. Anorexia is a very dangerous disease because it is happening in all over the world. A record has been made in 2004 by world health organization statistical information system to prove how harmful is this eating disorder. There are approximately 20 countries counted for the people death caused by anorexics

Everyone would want to have the ideal body. They will do everything so that their bodies could be perfect form, especially female. Approximately 95% of those affected by anorexia are female, but males can develop the disorder as well. Anorexia nervosa is a non-infectious disease. Anorexia nervosa or usually called anorexia is an eating disorder or loss of desire for food (appetite). When people have this disease, they are called to be anorexic. There are other reason why someone may start being anorexic. They include; severe trauma or emotional stress, Sharma,2012)

Internet as a Useful Tool for Health Promotion in reduce the risk of relapse Anorexia nervosa

The Internet is increasingly becoming part of our lives and also is becoming a powerful tool for patient education (Sharma, 2012). In 2011 76% of the Maltese households had computer access with 75% having internet access and 57.7% of these individuals sought health related information online1. The above figures are increasing from year to years since in 2009, 67% of the Maltese population had internet access and 52% of them sought health related information online.
