Introduction

Christians are often accused of building their beliefs on feelings, or grounded suspicion that disagrees with the reason or fact. Evidentialist apologetics is an approach to faith, and sharing of personal faith with others is not based on feelings but on rational facts, historical and verifiable. From this platform, those who disagree with the conclusions of faith can have a productive discussion.

Discussion

Apologetics primary purpose is not to lead people to Christ. Accept Jesus Christ as Savior is not just a rational affirmation, but holistic surrender and acceptance. The apologists can only take a horse to water, as for the horse will not drink this horse or their own decisions. Nevertheless, effective care to teach not only clears, to convince each other on in a rational, more emotional and the central value so that (truly) the other party can sympathize with (at least without resentment).

Perspective

Evidentialist apologetics focuses the discussion of faith on facts that can be verified, either directly or indirectly. By limiting the discussion of items that can be identified as true from one point of view outside the lens of faith, those who profess the Christian faith can engage in conversations with those who cannot hold the same beliefs. For example, while men of the 21st century were not present at the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, a central thesis of Christianity, those who may doubt the validity of the biblical narrative can discuss the events through the writings of secular historians of the era, such as Josephus.
