Introduction

The following paper based on the analysis of case study that provides evidence about preparation and presenting a case. The purpose of providing this case is to study operations management techniques that have been implemented successfully many times, although numerous projects failed because of different multiple reasons. For instance, project could be failed because of difficulty in formulating the central problem or inability to recognize important problem, whereas, lack of experience in handling messy data is another significant reason. Therefore, the case study approach is to develop an understanding and ability to communicate the problems through proper analysis of the occurrence of causes. Beside this, case study analysis assists in indentifying and isolating the real problem from symptoms and provides assistance in developing one or more models that employ essential elements of a particular situation or problem. The analysis of case study provided the chance to develop the recommendation and action plans that consistent with organization's goals.

Analysis of the Case

The case study given discusses the affect of the opportunity of loud computing would have on the IT industry. It was also analyzed that if the opportunity is huge it will be bundled with a lot if risks that has to be taken care of. Another dimension to the story was this that would the computing opportunity expand as quickly as it was evaluated by Chris. There was another doubt that would the business giants such as the IBM and Accenture transfer their business to cloud computing and take the risk. Chris organization Appirio wanted to see the organization to play the role of the pure cloud playing consulting firm.

Chris was of the view that Appirio had all the potential to become the next Accenture of the time but a lot have to be works to get the dream fulfilled.

Cloud computing was defined as the business model which is used to render the capabilities of IT as of the demanded services. It can be said in other words that it is a design which is simplifies to get the data for the system users.
