Abstract

Many tools and procedures have been identified to carry out successful design, development, and implementation of a Computer Information System. The paper discusses in detail about different software development methodologies and programming languages. The in depth analysis of the methodologies and development processes in this paper is aiming at assisting the decision making process for reviving the current rudimentary information system of Ardmore Public Library

SAD (system analysis and development)

A system is a collection of interrelated objects that work in a defined environment to achieve a purpose. Level of synchronization of all these objects determines the efficiency of the system. Soft systems are critical to handle. This is so because they are supposed to deal with human components. Now soft systems are increasingly becoming a part of all the organizations. Their analysis, design and development involve clear working and considerations. The objectives to be accomplished should be well though off and then the designing should be carried out. The plan of action of soft systems should be able to accommodate diverse interests of the factors involved.

Designing of Information Technology (IT) projects

With the increasing trend of IT systems, there can be seen a great number of techniques evolving out to carry out these projects. A significant number of techniques and methodologies have now been invented to cope with the elevating use of information system. Methodology defines a path that leads the project to the point of completion from the point where it was just an idea. To achieve the purpose of information technology projects it is necessary to first identify the technologies to be used. After that it is even more important to ensure their proper and flawless integration.

System Analysis

System analysis is the basis phase of system engineering. In this phase the end user requirements are identified and analyzed. It is in this phase that the specifications of the end user are marked. This outcome of this process should be a mathematical model that is credible to achieve the answers from the end user point of view. The model should also be valid enough to allow the switching to next phase.

The proper and well defined system analysis marks the efficiency level of the final product so it is necessary that the requirements of this phase are properly ...
