Introduction

China economy continues to be one of the largest economies in the world. It is now become one the world fastest growing economy that continues to grow. Thus, our organization also has a same objective to expand our market in the world leading growing economy. However, HR professional need to know that how to advice organization about the variety of human resource issue. This paper will aim to highlight the strategic Human Resource practices, business and the cultural issues in China as well as their implications for the Human Resource professionals (Gong, 2013).

Discussion

HR implications of conducting business in China

In the process of recruiting and selecting employees, the HR managers have to see that whether the candidates are capable of learning and possess the necessary education and skills required for the job. After recruiting and selecting, it is necessary that the employees are introduced to the culture, value and norms of the organization, as every organization has its own set of values and norms.

Performance Management

The first process is to determine the HR implication to conduct the business in China is the implementation and execution of the effective performance management practices is greatly helping businesses and organizations in bringing the encouraging and positive impacts in running their business operations (Gong, 2013). This was noted that Effective and appropriate strategies of performance management are greatly assisting business organizations in enhancing their work procedures by monitoring and evaluating the performance of the employees. Furthermore, the activity of the performance management may also motivate the employees of organizations (Smale, Björkman, & Sumelius, 2013).

Talent Development

The second would be talent management is the cycle through which organizations and companies develop and nurture, and incorporate their newly acquires members into its workforce. The process also helps businesses in retaining and managing their existing pool of human resource. According to Selmer, (2000) talent Management essentially attempts to identify and attract individuals with high potential, referred to as talent within their organization. Also, the retention of this quality human resource is a priority. Talent Management has become one of the most important functions of the HR department and is considered as a significant means of achieving strategic and competitive advantage.

Recruitment

The recruiting has been the primary objective of the HR departments to acquire the best Chinese candidates out of the short listed candidates. The management who are analyzing the Curriculum Vitae (CV) of the candidates are identifying applicants with confidence, potential, personal focus over the usage in the organization (Ralston, et.al, 1999). The productivity they are going to add up to the organization because every new candidate who gets appointed he/she does add value to the organization whether positively or negatively according to their performance.
