What is the Big Bank Theory?

The Big Bang, big bang literally, is the moment of "nothingness" emerge all matter, ie the origin of the universe. Matter, so far, is a point of infinite density, which at one time "explodes" generating the expansion of matter in all directions and creating what we know as our Universe. By modern standards, we define the universe as the ever-expanding collection of everything that has ever existed anywhere, the entirety of space and time. We have yet to answer where this totality of all that exists came from; we have yet to discover its true genesis. The struggle to resolve this mystery has further fueled the endless battle between science and religion to discover and to prove the true origins of existence. Throughout this search, it must be noted that all ideas regarding the creation of our universe will remain as such simply ideas as no conclusive proof can ever be found to determine the beginning of an event which occurred billions of years ago (George, 2007).

What are some of the flaws in the Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang Theory is greatly flawed in its inability to explain proven scientific ideas about our universe which contradict the theory in its entirety. Yet still, the most conclusive proof of the supremacy of the idea of God as the creator is the singularity in the Big Bang theory that cannot be proven: everything with a beginning in time must have a beginner, one not accounted for in this scientific theory. Information pertaining to the creation of the universe, or lack thereof, suggests that the idea of a Divine Creator, as opposed to the Big Bang Theory, is the most reasonable premise regarding how our universe came to exist.

In examining the scientific oppositions of religious creation theories, the most prominent idea regarded by scientists to be ludicrous in religious concepts is that it is impossibly against all laws of science for the universe to have been created in the matter of days that are suggested by most religious creation theories. For instance, in Christianity, it is believed that universal existence came to be over a process of six days, a theory which is disregarded by scientists globally to be physically impossible (George, 2007). However, if one was to take into account the context in which days is used, the scientific improbability is without substance as the days set out in religious contexts may not refer to the value of time which we give to a 'day' in modern times.

Put simply, a day in religious scriptures could refer to any length of time, not just the twenty-four hours we consider it to be today. It is likely and logical that the days that are suggested by religious scriptures are rather stages through which our universe was developed, stages which could have lasted any length of time. Scientific thought then does not refute any religious creation theory, rather supporting ...
