Introduction

Parents, educators and scientists have been of two minds regarding the bilingual child for nearly a century. Petito and team have given it a term “bilingual paradox” (Petitto et al., 2001, Journal of Child Language). It is an amazing fact that, children can speak two languages freely if exposed to them early in life. However, there is confusion among some parents that exposing a child to two languages in early life, may cause language confusion and language delay.
