Biodiversity

Introduction

Conservation biology and biodiversity are extremely necessary for the threatened, endangered, and extinct species. Conservative biologists and scientists play an important role for the conservation of the critically endangered and endangered species on the planet.

Discussion

Conservation Biology

Conservation biology refers to the scientific study of the Earth's biodiversity and its nature. The goal of conservation biology is to protect the species, their ancestors and habitats, and the ecosystem from the danger of extinction. Conservation biology can also be said as the mission oriented science, which focused on the process of protection from the extinction and to restore the diversity of earth or life. It is important to know about the disturbance of life around the planet to preserve biodiversity. Knowledge about the threats is also important to know that the diversity have to face. The knowledge about the possible recommendations is also necessary to reduce these threats for the restoration of biological diversity and the health of ecosystem (Hunter & Gibbs, 2009).

Biodiversity

Biodiversity can be defined as the degree in the variation of life. Biodiversity is about genetic variation, ecosystem variation, and species variation within a planet or small area. Biodiversity can be also known as the concept that refers the variation and differences among the species. It usually used to describe the variety, variability, and number of living organisms. Biodiversity has three major components, which includes all levels of living things, all forms of life, and interaction among all forms of organizations and life. All forms of life refers to all living things, including fungus, bacteria, plants, invertebrates, mammals, birds, and vertebrates. All levels of organization refer to the genetic material and the individuals. Group of similar species or organisms are known as organizations. Interaction among organization and life refer to the connection and association between genes, species, and individuals (Foottit & ...
