Bone Hard Biomaterial

Abstract

There is a increasing burden that are associated with the disease and injury, for bone repair, bio material development in represent and the most active research area in the tissue engineering filed. Aim of this article to provide an update on the recent development of the bioactive glasses, dropped with the surface elements and novel elastomeric properties (Allcock, 2002). However, bioactive glasses are not new for the engineering of born tissue, mechanical properties, rates of biodegradation and the ability to support generation of vascular tissue and support bone. Recent progress in the borates bioactive glasses development and the trace elements of bioactive glasses that expand the bioactive glasses repertoire. However, boride and the other significant elements have considered as beneficial effect on the remodeling of bone and the toxicity risk at higher level also design a new bioactive composition so that relates the elements that must be satisfactory and lower than levels of biological safety. Artificial bone matrixes that are made from the elastomeric composites offer both flexibility and mechanical integrity to the injured bone in dynamic environment.

Bone Hard Biomaterial

Introduction

Tennis players, Hockey players, Skiers and Football players are all fear for crucial ligament rupture. Problems occurs bigger when knee ligaments become damaged then patients normally has to go for undergo a surgery to store the joint stability. Due to increasing burden that associated with the diseases and bone injury, development of biomaterial for the bone represents most attractive areas in the tissue engineering filed. Polymeric can be classified as thermoplastic elastomeric and non elastomeric. Aim of this paper is to provide an update biomaterial developed progress for the bone tissue engineering with having major focus on the elastomeric and bioactive glasses that show significant improvement in hard bone biomaterial while the rest of bones biomaterial tissue engineering review briefly for a complete overview.

Research Problem

Screws that are used in the surgical operations are mostly made of titanium. After some time patient have to undergo for surgery to replace it with new one. However, new biomaterial makes it useless because it promotes growth of bone and it is biodegradable. There is a need of advance development in biomaterial that helpful to make easy procedure of biomaterial tissue engineering.

Organizational and Structural Composition

Bone is one of the most complex organs that play crucial functions within the physiology of human. There are several tissues have been found in the composition such as marrow, mineralized, periosteum, osseous tissues, blood vessels and nerves in close cartilage. However a flat bone such as femur, thick ling bones and hallow basically aims to support human body weight.

Allcock (2002) want to spare the circulate ligament victims and the other patients of bone in their procedure. In their research they developed a screw that is biodegradable and biocompatible over time. They have modified the biomaterial in such way that can be robust resorbable and bioactive screws which means a special type of injection process of ...
