Boeing is among the major organizations in the global industry of aerospace. They are one of the major contractors of Defense department of USA and NASA. Boeing has also undertaken operations in the US Air force on a number of occasions. The United Space Alliance also undertakes operations like modification, testing, and analysis of the final operations of the space fleet before its launch. Boeing has also entered in the Sea Launch venture and has a share of about forty percent in that venture (Newhouse, 2008).

The first advantage of outsourcing for Boeing is that they would be able to maximize their production within a small amount of time. In this competitive world, a number of organizations are using their workforce to get the maximum level of output. Boeing had made an effort to maximize their production capacity to meet the ever-increasing global demand for aero planes; in this way, Boeing had outsourced small portions of the requisite tasks or works to a smaller and more focused group of individuals, who can provide an accurate and quality product. Then outsourcing had also allowed Boeing to go for innovative products. Boeing will also manage to cut down their costs related to production through outsourcing. They are taking advantage of globalization, and going for production at reduced costs. However, there are also a numerous risks associated with the concept of global outsourcing (Peng, 2009).
