a)

In our selected company that is Smestle & Co, there is a strong relationship between the processes and functions of this organization. The organizational function has a great influence on the processes of the organization. Within an organization the process is being defined as the work that is performed by the organization. Let's just take the example of our considered organization which is responsible for the production of manufacturing goods. The functional units of the organization include the department for the development of product which is responsible for assembling and defining new products, marketing and sales which is accountable for producing interest in the offered products. In addition to this the function of the marketing and sales department is provide input to the development of the product like to what features are desired by the customers. Another department is the finance department, which is accountable for pricing of the new products to be profitable and competitive. One more department is that of distribution, which is accountable for providing new products to the customer as accurately and as quickly as possible (Patrick, 1993).

Within this organization, these departments have their own structures of leadership; they have their own responsibilities and functions that are performed by these departments. But, the fundamental organizational process which begins with the new product's idea and ends at the time when product is offered to the customers, this process covers all the boundaries of the organization.

Not any functional leader has got the responsibility of the whole continuous process, however all the functional leaders contribute several things to the complete success of the execution of process.

In our considered organization the functioning departments are accountable for performing functions that are part of greatly bigger processes. Foe the successful interrelation of the processes and functions of the organization, they just only lead their lead their workers in performing such activities, however, they also have got realization of how these functions are performed by their workers.

b)

For mapping of the processes to the goals and objectives of the organization, I will make use of the methods that will bring a clear knowledge about the process and in many cases about the series of processes that will be needed to execute in parallel. First of all I will start with making a flow chart for the process for the purpose of determining the boundaries. In this boundary determination method those elements that will be included are: defining from the beginning of the process will take place and where the ending of process will be done. The second step of this method will be listing of the steps, in which I will be making use of verb for starting the description of task; the flow chart will moreover demonstrate the enough information for understanding the general flow of process or this flow chart will contain each and every set point of decision and action.
