Introduction

The word “canon” is derived from the Greek Word “kanon”. The word of Greek “kanon” means “rod”. Rod is generally used for measuring something. Therefore, Canonical Criterion is exercised to point put the instrument of measuring the length of something. Consequently, the figurative meaning takes us towards the meaning of prescription, rule, form, pattern, and so on. In a broad way, there is a difference between Christian canon and Jewish canon. Various Christian canons are limited to the books of the “Old Testament”. Subsequently, there is an agreement on all books of “New Testament”. The tradition of Christian has never a doubted in believing the canonical John, Matthew, Luke, and Mark.
