Introduction

Capitalism: A love Story is directed by Michael Moore, who has in past given amazing movies, such as Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11 and Sicko. Marmite and Michael Moore have a lot in common with one another. Like the former, Moore is someone who, depending on the political outlook, either one loves or hate. For those that love him, he has become a crusader for the 'Average Joe', while those who do not appreciate his work accuse of him of hypocrisy of the highest order. However, time and time again he has lifted his head over the parapet to tackle the big political issues of our time courage that is worth commending.

Michael Moore was born on 23rd April, 1954, in Flint. By his qualification, he is a journalist, as he studied journalism from the University of Michigan Flint. He also had other hobbies such as gun shooting, and he was so passionate about this hobby that he even won a competition. As he was a journalist by profession, he even wrote about career in the school newspaper named as “The Michigan Times.” After dropping the college, he stepped into a new career, which was filmmaking. He needed a budget for making his first movie “Roger & Me”, so he worked in his neighborhood bingo games (Schultz, 2005). Once he earned well, he started making the movie, and after the launch of the movie, it was the biggest hit. It was one of the best known documentary movies released in United States of America, which gave him a good start for his career. He also did few television series, which also gave him a push towards further success in the filmmaking career. After this series, he ended up releasing another massive hit by the name of “Bowling for Columbia.” It was released in 2002. In this movie, he showed the bad points of American Army. He has always focused on the reality, which usually people do not talk about, but he showed it in such a way that everyone liked it, and the message was also delivered. Later, he shocked the world by releasing another bigger hit “Fahrenheit 9/11.” In this movie he made fun of the President Bush, and showed the reality. This is an art which not everyone has it. Michael Moore has the guts of talking about the reality and showing it to the world in such a way, that it does not abuse anyone, and it also delivers it primary objective. Michael Moore is a very carefree person, who usually wears jeans with baseball cap and spectacles. He mostly shows his hometown in his movies, which is Flint, Michigan. He is famous because of documentaries which talks about the realities of life, and beautifully shows them and delivers the message.
