Introduction

Disney is an example of outstanding company that has by making wisely and efficient decision regarding capabilities and resources maintained its position and competitive advantage. Disney has shown its capability of making the correct decision on the correct time and also the ability to decide about investments finance and also regarding expanding its business. These decisions represent Disney's strategy. Although the record of Disney's strategic decision making is not so good, but it is prominently better than most firms.

The first Disney land that opened outside the U.S was in 1983 in Tokyo. Tokyo Disney land was the big success. The theme park that was the launch in 2002 played the prominent role its success, as these two park combining reported almost 25.8 million visitors only in a single year of 2007.

Disney also attempted to try its strategy of success of Japanese park in France as well, but this has not proved to be the successive one as, visitors were not happy with their approach. As the China being the most populated country, Disney decided to build a theme park in Hong Kong. This park decided to be the joint venture with the government of Hong Kong (Krivda, n.d)

As Hong Kong is known for a hectic lifestyle and schedule, due to the fact Hong Kong people's loves to remain involve in some sought of activities. They are also infamous for their impatience behavior. The people of Honk Kong are famous famous for looking forward for the highly fast convenient and inexpensive activities. Overall, as we know China is famous for attracting huge numbers of tourists. By keeping these factors in mind Disney's had built the Disney land on a Lantau Island corner scene, which was located near the city airport and in the middle of financial center of the city. It also had the extension line of railway available there. They used around 42 acres of the park for attraction and the remaining area for parking and hotels. The creation of the Disney land in Hong Kong has not been the cup of cake for the Disney's company, as from starting the government had to go through the criticism relating to the location, on the purchase of the park for man-made lake, and for the cost.
