China is a country, situated in South-east Asia. The country is ranked second largest in terms of land area. The official name for China is the People's Republic of China. China is a highly populated country; the land accommodates around 1.3 billion people. Since the 1978, China has exhibited tremendous progress in terms of economic development. The country has a stable economy; According to 2012 reports, the country has been able to secure a GDP of 8.227 trillion US dollars. The growth rate is remarkable, which accounts for 7.8%. China is moving towards rapid urbanization. The country is developing huge architecture with million dollars of investments (Martin, 2006).

The country has progressed in terms of technological development. PRC (People's Republic of China) has around 22 provinces which are governed by the policy of central government. The population is increasing by 0.6%. The land covers an area of 9.6 million square kilometers, out of which agricultural land uses 1.3 million square kilometers. The country has well-established manufacturing, mining, services, & architecture industry. 53% of GDP accounts for the manufacturing industry. The agricultural earnings account for 15% of the total GDP. The Chinese political environment is controlled by the State Council; the council develops the legislations & associated policies. Also, the council controls the civil services (Martin, 2006).

The United Kingdom is situated along the coast of continental Europe. The capital city is London. The country includes the island of Great Britain & some part of Ireland. The United Kingdom has a population of 63.23 million. The Gross Domestic Product accounts for 2.4 trillion dollars. The country has a stable economy; the country's political system is governed by the constitutional monarchy. The country earns through agricultural land & the manufacturing industry. The land area covers the land of England, Whales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. The United Kingdom has a different political environment; which is governed by a combination of monarchy & democratic system. The combined system introduces distinct authority levels for each of the power. The Queen, Elizabeth II, directs the monarchy. However, the democratic system follows the conventional political structure, which is governed by the House of Parliamentarians.

Analysis of the Environmental Policy

Around 30% of Chinese land has to face acid rains. It is because of the air pollution caused by the sulfur dioxide. Coal combustion results in the formation of Sulfur Dioxide. Industrial boilers use around 50% of total China's coal. Besides, the manufacturing industry expels industrial wastage into the water.
