Introduction

This paper intends to discuss the colonisation on Aboriginal People on the Stolen Generation. The stolen generations are considered to be an important aspect of the colonisation over the Aboriginal people. The movement of colonisation can be traced back to the middle ages ranging from fifteenth century to nineteenth century approximately. The colonisation can be abruptly explained as intense efforts to exploit the situations of weak and smaller countries by powerful countries. Similarly, the impact of this colonisation process can be seen over the indigenous societies. The indigenous societies are described as those living in the weak and smaller countries originally. The purpose of this paper is to make the reader aware about the colonisation on Aboriginal People on the Stolen Generations. The paper remains essentially important to discuss the underlying impact and consequences of the colonisation over the Aboriginal People on the Stolen Generation. The difficulties faced by the aboriginal people and the attitude of British Authorities towards the land of Australia claiming that it did not belong to anyone will also be highlighted in the paper.

Discussion

Colonisation has impacted the smaller countries in different ways. For instance, the spiritual, economical and political structures of the Aborigines through stolen generations can be seen as the after affects of European colonisation. The colonisation of European countries was basically related to the fact that it was commenced with the need to gain extended control over lands for the purpose of accommodating the increasing needs of population and also for the purpose of increasing the influence of the already established power of the several countries. Various other reasons which are seen prominently within the aspect of colonisation includes the better survival and growth of people, to gain control over natural and economic resources and most importantly to exploit economic opportunities and increase the strength of military (Bosnic, 2012 Pp. 1-12).

The colonisation on Aboriginal People on the Stolen Generation refers to the type of colonisation in which children were used to be forced to get separated from their families. This type is considered as one of the most hazardous like genocides and the sexual assaults of the unarmed citizens. The stolen generation is seen as the greatest impact over the societies. The children under the age of five were used to be taken away by police forcefully for the purpose of eradicating their cultural and personal identities. These children are basically known as stolen generations. The children were used to take away in fact far away from their families rather far away from their countries. This helped the colonisation era to make children indigenous and being completely unaware of their roots and identities (Bullimore, 2001 Pp. 9-10).
