Community Development

Introduction

The assignment explains the concept of community development and its consequences in views of different scholars. Community development is termed as a phenomenon in which all the members of the community collectively work for bringing change. In community development, the needs of communities are prioritized and the society can be developed by economic, environmental and social policies. The citizens of a society work for the welfare of the state and can bring change in their communities. Community development is also defined as a process in which members of a community collectively take actions for the solution of problems faced by the community.

Community development is although a very good phenomenon but it becomes worst when all the people of society do not ehve equal rights or facilities. When the powerful citizens of teh state misuse their powers and the lower class of teh society faced inequality. There are many scholars who have critiques over the community development but teh Marxist Philosophy has provided great evidences for this criticisim.

Karl Marx has identified the community development as “nature of state” and explains this situation, where effectively the positive transcendence of private property and self-alienation of man as a reconciliation of man with nature will occur. What he want to express this situation is that in the society where this event takes place, the natural behavior of man becomes human, while the expression of their (human) nature becomes natural. Thus, communism resolves the conflict between man and man, between essence and existence, between objectification and self-affirmation, between freedom and neccessity, between the individual and the species.

Marx's attitude towards the original state was not, however, unique. On the one hand, he always assumes the existence of a primitive communism, on the other hand, was not in favor of equating communism with the future in his philosophies. On the one hand, he criticized on the envy and lack of reflection in egalitarian conception of communism, on the other hand, appreciated what he considered remnants of the original communism in some productive ways of their time because they could provide a foothold to anticipate revolution. Also criticized utopian socialists ingenuity of his ideas, but his few descriptions of the future state of man under communism not reveal less evidences (Marx & Eagles, 2012, pp 5-12). Last but not the least, he has provided his criticism towards those who sought to establish primitive communism in Marx's era. He has written his ideas on the origin, characteristics, development and establishment of the Communism in the society. He had also devoted his last stage of life towards studying and gathering information for the community ...
