Compare and Contrast Position Statements of ACEI and NAEYC

According to the position statement of ACEI, it has been observed that it has always supported the concepts and ideas which have been originated from publications, papers and position statement, for instance; ACEI has been actively involved in calling moratorium regarding high stakes standardized testing in the primary grades and has always encouraged the availability of authentic evaluation forms that takes into consideration the strengths and learning of children's (Vito, 1991). The main emphasis in the position statement of ACEI is given to the promotion of free and availability of public education for all the children throughout the world.

However, NAECTE entails that early childhood certification which is also known as licensure has to be an obligation for the teachers who are continuous interaction with children up to 8 years of age. This obligation makes sure that teachers of such children should also provide learning adequate level of opportunities for different levels of children's development. The position statement of NAECTE concentrates on the adoption of policies by school districts. There are some of the policies which are defined and explained in the position statement of NAECE which reveals that for teachers, early childhood certification in all the classrooms of public schools for children's up to five years of age is necessary (NAECTE, 2007). The main focus of NAECE statement is on the priority of placement and hiring of those teachers who holds early childhood certification prior to hiring for public school classrooms for the children's six-to seven years of age. It requires to implement such programs that show the way to early childhood certification in order to meet NAEYC (national association for the education of young children) in order to make sure that teachers are having appropriate preparation and research work prior to teaching pre-kindergarten till the third grade.
